Target Audience
My target audience for this project are 16-19 year old college students.
I thought of picking a specific and joint interest for this target audience and decided to aim my speech package at 16-19 year old gamers.

The idea I am in most favour of doing is the concept of Gaming Addiction and Extreme Hours Spent on One Game, focusing primarily on indie games.
For this idea I would talk to an independent video game developer. Some of the questions I would ask him are:
For this idea I would talk to an independent video game developer. Some of the questions I would ask him are:
- What is important for an indie game to have in order to make it addictive?
- What elements do addictive indie games have that AAA games don't?
- What is the most addictive genre?
- Do you think indie games have affected the approach of developing AAA titles?
Another person I would interview is someone who is actually addicted to video games or a video game in particular and fits into my target audience, so is between 16 and 19 years old, in order to get both sides, a developer's and a gamer's. Here are some of the questions I would ask:
- Do you prefer indie games or AAA games?
- What is the most addictive indie game you have played?
- What elements make a game addictive?
- What is the most total time you have spent on one game?
- Do you consider yourself addicted to video games?
To open up the speech package I would use Vox Pops gathered around a college. The question I would ask is: Are video games addictive?
This will grab the listeners attention straight away and will give a quick first opinion of the general public of 16 to 19 year olds. This would also be a good reference to come back to towards the end to compare what the general public thinks compared to the opinion of some experts.
